Meet the founder: Neeta Shankar

Her philosophy is simple: every brand has a story worth telling well.

A creative powerhouse with a severe addiction to iced teas and an allergy to mediocrity.

Neeta transitioned from R&D engineering at Hewlett Packard to professional photography in 2012 — and hasn’t looked back. She founded Neeta Shankar Photography Pvt. Ltd., which has grown into one of the leading names in wedding and portrait photography in India. Her long-standing mentor relationships with Nikon India and Godox India reflect the depth of her expertise and her standing in the industry.

Over the past decade, she’s conducted 100+ photography workshops and led photo tours across Cambodia, Bali, Ladakh, and Spiti. She’s built a brand from scratch, navigated the uncertainty of leaving a stable career, and figured out what it actually takes to grow a creative business in a competitive market.

That experience is the foundation of Ember & Ink. Neeta started the agency because she’d already solved the problems most businesses struggle with — building a visual identity, creating content that connects, showing up consistently online, and making it all work together. Now she leads a team that does exactly that for other businesses.

Welcome to the Ember & Ink playground – We’ve ditched the corporate vibe for a slice of home-sweet-home. Our 5000 sq ft creative studio in Whitefield, Bangalore is where everything comes together. A sun-lit space designed for the kind of work that doesn’t happen in boardrooms — with ample garden space for outdoor shoots, a dedicated 1000 sq ft air-conditioned indoor studio, a fully equipped podcast recording setup with multi-camera and lighting support, a high-end 4K/8K edit suite, a green room, a functional kitchen setup, and pantry facilities. Power backup and parking included.
